We are Kidblog crazy in room 304! Kidblog allows us do connect in many ways both within our own classroom community, and beyond! Here's how we've used it in week 1:
- A forum to post learning from our rocks and minerals books answering the question "How do humans use and benefit from using rocks and minerals?"
- A challenge where I give information about a migratory bird and students try to discover the species identification!
-A place to post links for students to access supplemental games and actives related to our current units of study
This week we will extend to connect to there kids and classrooms in our own school. Next week, we will explore how to connect to more distant kids and their classrooms! 1: to world!
Your Students Log in Formula is:
(red colored text in parentheses uses my information as an example)
login: firstname+first initial last name (megank)
password: 8 digit birthdate (08281986)
You may set up your own account connected to your student's account! I really encourage you to do so. You need a specific code generated from my teacher dashboard that is unique to your students account. Here's how we will do this. When you are ready to sign up, send me an email and I'll respond with your unique parent code.

Weebly vs. Kidblog
Weebly is still a part of our learning! It can be seen as a digital portfolio. A place where students can really showcase their work with pictures, video, blogging, and more.
Kidblog is unique as it allows us to easily and quickly interact with each other. For example: When I post a question or challenge, students respond in comments that are all visible in one place. They can easily read and respond in one location.
I encourage students to blog from home about their own lives on either program!
